June 2007- Glasgow Building Preservation Trust

Stephen co-ordinated a project for Doors Open week that commemorated the Wilberforce Act in 1807. As part of this, he wrote a heritage guide and developed an exhibition that detailed the social history of Glasgow and slavery through the urban environment.

September 2007- Glasgow Anti Racist Alliance

Stephen has recently completed a book entitled "It Wisnae Us!" that examined the impact of slavery on Glasgow. The book challenges the myth that there was minimal Scottish involvement in transatlantic slavery.

March 2009- Greenhead Moss Community Trust

Stephen is currently undertaking a local history project into the circumstances of a bog body found in Wishaw in1932, which has been rumoured to be a Covenanter.
